Shooting M-4s.

Learning to shoot carbine rifles

Shooting rifles is fun for ladies too.

Urban Rifle 101

Primary instructors:

John Boch, John Naese, Jeff Schwarm, Frank Wright. Bios.

Class Dates & Location:

This course will be geared towards establishing a good foundation for a lifetime of safe and effective shooting with repeating carbine rifles. These small, lightweight rifles and their full-size AR-15 cousins are the most popular selling style of rifle in America and continue to grow in popularity because of their great flexibility, accuracy and ease of use. This demand has created an entire subset to the firearm industry relating to AR-15s, parts and accessories.

While the rifles are wildly popular, training to use these rifles for civilians hasn't yet caught up. This course, Urban Rifle 101, will offer a solid foundation for students to grow in future training.

Students will learn proper maintenance and malfunction prevention, rifleman fundamentals, sling usage, shooting stances, grips and firearm manipulation. This course will hone basic fundamentals while teaching basic individual tactics and techniques, including shooting on the move, as well as from cover and concealment in various positions and transitioning from carbine rifle to sidearm.
